This is a picture of a movie poster promoting the 2010 release of Red Dawm. The poster's background is red with a chinese star outlined in yellow. This is a picture of the mine shaft constructed at Fitzgerald Park (Grand Ledge, Michigan) later blown up in the movie. The entrance to the mine shaft was constructed from styrofoam, shaped and painted.

For instance, the county's Fitzgerald Park, located in Grand Ledge, Michigan, was the site for several scenes for the upcoming 2010 release of Red Dawn, a remake of the 1984 film starring Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, and other familiar actors. The new film is directed by Dan Bradley.

Eaton County enjoys a rural small-town lifestyle in close proximity to larger urban centers such as Lansing (state capitol, Lansing Regional Airport), Battle Creek, and Grand Rapids (Gerald R. Ford International Airport).  Our proximity to these urban centers provide convenient expressway routes leading into the county to move production equipment and crews.  Our rolling landscape, picturesque small towns provide a way of life that make it a wonderful place to live, do business, and create films.  The county's skilled workforce is supported by high-quality educational institutions, with some programs specializing in film and video productions.
