The Eaton County Animal Control investigates and responds to complaints involving domestic animals. Complaints involving non domestic animals are the responsibility of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Services: Missing/Lost animals Adoptions Licensing Investigation of cruelty and abuse cases involving animals.
Licensing requirements: All citizens in Eaton County are required to license their dogs four months or older. A current rabies vaccination certificate from a licensed Michigan veterinarian is required in order to license dogs. There is no reciprocity for out of state dog licenses, however, dog licenses from other Michigan counties are recognized. The deadline for dog license purchase is February 28th of the current year.
License Fees:
Spayed/neutered dogs $ 10.00
Sexed dogs $15.00
Late fee (after Feb 28th) $ 30.00
