Steve Leese, DirectorSteve Leese has worked in public safety for the last 25 years serving as an officer with the Dearborn Police Department, and the Harbor Beach Police Department. For the last 9 years Steve worked for Huron County 911 as the Director before moving to Eaton County 911 in 2007. Steve is a University of Michigan graduate and served in the United States Marine Corps at the White House and Camp David. Steve is a Certification Subcommittee member of the ETSC (Emergency Telephone Service Committee). He is also a current member of MCDA, NENA and APCO. Working with an outstanding staff is very gratifying for Steve. Together we provide a “best in class” service to the citizens of Eaton County. |
April Heinze, Assistant DirectorApril Heinze has spent the last 17 plus years working for Eaton County. She began her career working for the Sheriff’s Department in 1990 and moved to Central Dispatch in 1992. In the last 15 years April has worked in various roles throughout Central Dispatch. In October of 2004 she was promoted to Assistant Director. April is an active member of local and national 9-1-1 organizations. Those agencies include NENA (the National Emergency Number Association) where she sits on the public education and training committee, APCO (the Association of Public Safety Officials) and MCDA (the Michigan Communications Director’s Association). “I am honored to work in the 9-1-1 Communications profession alongside an amazing staff of individuals who make Eaton County 9-1-1 great!”
