How to Renew Your Dog License by Mail          

Complete all questions on Dog License Application Form then mail (1) the form, (2) a valid rabies certificate, (3) proof of spay/neuter if applicable and, (4) acheck or money order for the appropriate fee (no cash please) to:

Make your check or money order payable to
Eaton County Treasurer. Please include a self-address, stamped envelope for the return of your dog tags.  It is the responsibility of the dog owner to supply complete and correct information. The treasurer's office cannot call the  veterinarian for information. Applications will be denied until the application and/or payment amount is correct.

Applications must be post marked by May 31st of the year you are applying for the license. Late fees will be applied to all late applications. The only exceptions is for puppies four (4) months of age, and new dogs that have been acquired after May 31st.

Eaton County cannot inform dog owners when their license is due.  It is the responsibility of the dog owner to renew or obtain a license on time.
