Volunteer Button

Your interests are important to us whether they center around animals of the area, wildflowers, history of the ledges, or other environmental topics. You have a chance to help our invaluable community resource, the natural environment. You will be contributing not only to our present community, but to generations of children in the future. Through efforts as a Fitzgerald Park Nature Center and/or Lincoln Brick Interpretive Center volunteer, special events volunteer, or project volunteer you can make a difference. Please join our volunteer force. It’s an enjoyable and easy way to volunteer for your community.

Our biggest need is for Nature Center and Interpretive Center volunteers. We need meeters and greeters to greet people in the Centers May through October.

  • You choose your own dates to work.
  • Free annual park pass after 8 hours of service.
  • Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays.
  • Hours: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Enjoy the quiet solitude of working by yourself or team up with a friend.
  • Inservice training is provided.
  • Responsibilities include: opening center, greeting and recording the number visitors, and closing the center at the end of the day.

Call Jackie Blanc, Park Naturalist, at  (517) 627-7351 ext. 6023 to volunteer today!
