Friends Group Awarded $5,000 Grant

The Friends of Eaton County Parks meet the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Brick Park Interpretive Center, 13991 Tallman Rd., Grand Ledge, MI 48837.

Friends Annual Meeting/Membership Drive

The Friends of Eaton County Parks is seeking energetic men and women to join its ranks as board members, project/event coordinators, committee chairpersons, and helpers at Friends sponsored events. No experience is required. We are looking for individuals who have an appreciation for the parks system and are desirous of seeing the parks thrive and offer more excitement to the citizens of Eaton County.

During the past year, the Friends of Eaton County Parks, a 501(c)3 organization, provided thousands of dollars worth of volunteer time and money to various projects within your County parks. The Friends group raises funds through membership dues and gifts from people like you, who gave $15, $25, $50 or even $100, each doing their share to help make our parks just a little better for everyone. Together we are improving the foundation of our community for everyone.

While we do not have any problems in getting individuals to pay the $25 annual membership fee, the same cannot be said for getting people to become consistently active members of the organization. Thus we are making this special appeal to get more people actively involved in our monthly meetings and the various events and activities in which we are engaged.

Please consider making your own tax deductible gift to the Friends of Eaton County Parks to help support your County parks. Individual membership is $15; Family Membership is $25. For more information, please contact Friends President Alvin Whitfield at 517-703-9666. Friends Brochure/Membership Form
