Juvenile Court Probation
The Juvenile Court Probation Department is responsible for monitoring Eaton County juveniles after criminal charges have been filed with the Court. From substance abuse services to family counseling, from diversionary programming to detention, the comprehensive services provided by this department and its services providers have one goal: rehabilitation of Eaton County youth.
Probation Services
Juveniles may be monitored through informal diversion programming including shoplifting, substance use, and Consent Calendar diversions. Juveniles may also be monitored on the formal calendar through probation orders. Because of this, the Probation Department utilizes a number of dispositional services including the following:
- Consent Calendar diversion
- Shoplifting and substance use diversion programs
- Individual, family, and group counseling referrals
- Boot camp
- Substance Abuse Treatment Court
- Drug screens
- GPS and alcohol tethers
- LINK educational programming
- Day Treatment Programming
- Risk assessments
- Substance abuse and mental health referrals
- Psychological evaluations
- Standard and Home Intensive Probation monitoring
- Community Based Treatment Programming
- Sex-offender specific counseling
- Restorative justice programming
- Community service
