Overall the Eaton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 1,020 calls for service/events. Our highest call volumes were in the following areas: Alarms (39), Car/Deer Accidents (16), Assist Citizen/Motorist Assists (38), Check Well Beings (23), Domestic Disputes (16), Shoplifting Complaints (34), Larcenies (28), 911 Unknown (80), Operating While Impaired (12), Personal Injury Crashes (27), Suspicious Subject/Situation/Vehicle (45), Traffic Hazards (110), Traffic Stops (201), Traffic Violations (43), and Vacation Checks (10).
FREE Hunter Safety Classes – Our most popular, well attended series of Recreational Safety Classes have started for the 2019 season. All classes will be at the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office in Charlotte and are taught by two Eaton County Deputies who are certified instructors. To meet the number of hours of state–mandated instruction, each class consists of 3 nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Here is a schedule of the dates and times:

Class size is limited to 50 students and there is no age limit. You don’t have to be an Eaton County resident to attend, everyone is welcome.
