Park Information
The Charlotte Optimist Youth Park is a 20-acre primitive area and is intended to provide youth groups of all types and ages in the area with access to a four-season natural area for day use or overnight camping that involves minimum travel.
Activities may include:
- Bird Watching
- Field Trips
- Hiking
- Jogging
- Nature Study
Youth Groups
Camping is with your tent or our bunkhouse only. All groups must be supervised and accompanied by adults (sponsors, leaders, parents, etc.) and make reservations.
We encourage and promote the use of the Optimist Youth Park by organized youth groups. These groups have first choice of scheduling. All non-youth oriented groups wishing to use the park may not reserve the use of the park more than four weeks ahead of their event.
Fees
To help maintain the park, a $10 fee per reservation is required. For reservations and further information, view their website at Charlotte Optimist Club.
